Cruise Day #4 - San Juan, Puerto Rico

Good morning, San Juan, Puerto Rico! ¡Está muy caliente!

We had a wonderful day exploring Old San Juan.

Debbie continued our granddaughter’s “shopping training,” and I must say—she’s on track to graduate with honors very soon! She’s picking it up fast, much to her mother’s dismay.

We went by the home of the original Piña Colada, a real tourist trap!

We wrapped up our outing with a delicious lunch at El Asador restaurant. I had the whole red snapper—it was outstanding!

Tonight, we attended the MTG Cocktail Party at Crooners. It was a well-attended event, with all of the Senior Staff Officers present—including the very personable Captain.

Unfortunately, the location left a bit to be desired. Only two-thirds of the venue was reserved for the party, while the remaining third remained open to other guests. A velvet rope served as a divider, which created confusion for passengers who weren’t part of the event. Additionally, the noise from the nearby Piazza was overwhelming, making conversations difficult without raising our voices.

On the positive side, the passed appetizers were both plentiful and delicious.
