It’s almost cruise time again! On Friday morning, we’ll be flying from LAX to Miami on Delta Airlines. Then, on Saturday, we’ll board the Enchanted Princess for a two-week Caribbean adventure, sailing from July 12 to July 26, 2025.
This time, we’re cruising with family—our daughter, son-in-law, and our almost 11-year-old granddaughter. We’ll spend Friday night at the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina before embarking on our journey the next day.
This particular cruise was offered as two separate 7-day voyages or a single 14-day itinerary. We crunched the numbers (as we always do!) and found that booking it as one continuous voyage made better financial sense.
We don’t usually travel during the summer months—we try to avoid the crowds of kids on school break—but summer is the only time we can travel with our granddaughter. These family cruises definitely have a different vibe than our usual just-the-two-of-us getaways. There won’t be any Sanctuary time this trip—we’ll be poolside most days, making memories with our granddaughter.
As for the ports, it’s been quite a few years since we’ve visited several of them. We’re curious to see how much they’ve changed and what new experiences await.
