“Blink and We Were Onboard” πŸ˜„πŸš’

We are onboard! 🚒

The ride to the Long Beach port was uneventful, with minimal traffic. We actually made it door-to-door in just 55 minutes—that may be some sort of cruising record for us. We were the only ones in the terminal, and embarkation took all of three minutes. Blink and you’d miss it! πŸ˜„

The stateroom is very similar in size to a Princess mini-suite, with the welcome addition of a walk-in closet. The bathroom is quite nice, featuring both a tub and a shower. Debbie will definitely get her use out of the tub, as that’s what she primarily uses at home—so she’s a happy camper already. πŸ›

We viewed our safety drill on the very small TV in the stateroom. Princess mini-suites definitely have them beat here, with two large wall-mounted TVs. Hopefully, this has been improved on Seabourn’s newer ships.

Afterward, we checked in at our muster station, which is conveniently located in The Restaurant on our same deck. We then wandered around the ship for a bit. It definitely feels smaller than what we’ve grown accustomed to on Princess, but in a good way. The ship has a very comfortable, boutique-hotel feel—cozy, elegant, and easy to navigate.

Eventually, we made our way to the Patio on the pool deck, where we were seated and ordered a delicious grilled tuna salad. A perfect first onboard meal! πŸ₯—πŸŸ

When we returned to our stateroom, all of our luggage was already waiting for us. There’s plenty of storage space, and Debbie didn’t even need to ask for extra hangers—always a win. πŸ‘—πŸ‘

I usually cover the previous evening’s highlights in the following day’s blog. That keeps me from staying up into the wee hours trying to finish a post after a long day.

See you mañana! 🌞
