Today we are docked in Puerto Amador, Panama. This is the Western entrance to the Panama Canal. Panama City is just across the bay from us.

Cargo ships anchor here, waiting their turn to go through the canal
Having been here many times in the past, we opted to walk around the port area. It was very hot and humid today.
This is the first time for us to see the new Cruise Terminal Building. It is very modern looking and huge.
There were many taxi's and independent tour operators right outside the terminal. The Hop-on/Hop-off bus was also available outside the terminal.
We made our first wine purchases of the trip at a wine shop in the port. Their prices for Argentinian and Chilean wines were very reasonable.
We purchased 3 Malbecs and a Cabernet Sauvignon. We also bought a bag of potato chips.
By the time we walked back to the ship we were drenched in sweat! We made it back to our cabin, dropped off our wine, changed into dry clothes, and went to the International Cafe for tuna sandwiches.
This is where our potato chip purchase came in handy. They don't have chips there and what is better than chips with a sandwich? Well, maybe the ice cold Corona that I also had!
