Cruise Day #20 - Sea Day

We had a really nice evening last night. We met up with Jill and Mike in Crooners Lounge for pre-dinner drinks, and at 7:30 we all headed to the Sanctuary Restaurant (they’re also staying in a Sanctuary Collection stateroom). Dinner was excellent, but the conversation was even better! We were one of the last tables left in the dining room before finally letting our servers clean up and prepare for the next day.

Today is a sea day — and I think it’s Thursday? It’s funny how easily you lose track of the days when you’re on a cruise. But honestly, that’s been true ever since we retired! For the past 15 years, we’ve been asking each other, “What day is it again?” 🤣

We were hoping for a sunny day so we could hunt down some shady lounges in the Sanctuary Club, but Mother Nature had other plans. It’s cloudy, cool, and very windy, with gusts around 25 to 30 knots (28–35 mph).

So, we’re pivoting and heading to the Old vs. New World Wine Tasting & Tapas at The Catch Restaurant. We went to this same event during the last cruise segment — the wines and tapas were excellent! We had a great time at the tasting!
Three of the wines were different from the last event, which kept things interesting. The highlight was definitely the 2022 Ornellaia — it was sooo good!

Tonight, we are returning to Love by Britto for dinner. And, tomorrow we’ll be in Palma, on the island of Mallorca.
