Today is the first of two consecutive sea days as we make our way toward Montenegro. We experienced our first sea day breakfast in the Sanctuary Restaurant, and the menu is completely different from the Suite Breakfast menu offered on other Princess ships. It’s quite extensive and features several ethnic options.
I tried the Vegetable Scramble—it was not only very filling but also perfectly seasoned. I’ll definitely be ordering it again! It’s cloudy and cool today, with a high of only 65°. We decided to take it easy and watch Netflix in our stateroom.
Around 1:45 p.m., we decided to grab a snack—and OMG! Decks 7, 8, and 9 were a sea of humanity. It looked like an NFL football game had just let out! Clearly, the cool weather had everyone indoors. The Eatery (buffet) was so packed we didn’t even attempt to go in!
Tonight was the Most Traveled Guests Cocktail Party, held in the Good Spirits Lounge. It was well attended by the top 20 couples and hosted by the Captain, along with most of the Senior Staff Officers. A few, of course, had to remain at their posts to make sure the ship kept going in the right direction! The Captain posed for photos as guests arrived, and the cocktails and appetizers were plentiful and beautifully presented.
Afterward, we had dinner at the sushi specialty restaurant, Makoto Ocean. The sushi was exceptionally good—especially impressive for a cruise ship! We already have several more reservations booked there.
