Cruise Day #23 - Sea Day on the Way to Málaga

We’re at sea today as we make our way toward Málaga, Spain, where we’ll arrive tomorrow morning.

We really wanted to give the Sanctuary Club a full-day test in our favorite “good” loungers, so we made it up there by 8:30. To our surprise, we were only the second couple to arrive!

We snagged two loungers by the pool that have become our favorites—they get that perfect bit of afternoon shade. By 9:30, though, every one of the “premium” loungers was taken.

Today we also discovered a big change to the OceanNow food delivery service—the feature on the Princess Medallion app that lets you order food for delivery anywhere on the ship. Since the Sanctuary Club lunch menu offers only a couple choices for non–meat eaters, we’ve been using OceanNow to order veggie burgers and cheese quesadillas right to our loungers.

As of yesterday, though, that’s no longer possible—food deliveries are no longer available to the Sanctuary Club. Bummer!

Below is a screenshot showing where deliveries are still available:

We just had a long chat with the Sanctuary manager. He mentioned that if they aren’t too busy, they can sometimes accommodate a few orders from the Bell Box (the room service galley), which happens to be located just below the Sanctuary Club. It’s the same galley used by Love by Britto.

They also completed the new buffet counters and today will be the first day that they are used, they open at 11 am.
Today’s theme was Mediterranean inspired, with the addition of Chips, Guacamole, and Salsa.

The sun made a full appearance this afternoon!
When we returned to our stateroom this afternoon, we found an invitation to the Most Traveled Guests Luncheon waiting for us. On the previous two segments, they held cocktail parties instead, but since this segment is a longer one—15 days—they’re hosting our favorite event: the luncheon!

Side Note: Captain Paulo Arrigo went home yesterday and is scheduled to return on November 7th in Tenerife. No reason was given for his one-week absence. His wife, young daughter, and mother-in-law had also been onboard.

Tonight, we return to The Catch for dinner!
