Cruise Day #25 - Gibraltar

We arrived early this morning in Gibraltar. The forecast called for an 80% chance of thunderstorms, with conditions expected to clear by afternoon. The Rock of Gibraltar was completely shrouded in clouds when we arrived.

By the time we walked off the ship to head into the old town, an AIDA cruise ship had docked next to us. 
The old town was already quite crowded despite the threat of rain. 



We felt bad for those visiting Gibraltar for the first time, as “The Rock” stayed hidden in clouds all day.

Debbie had fun doing what she does best — negotiate and shop! 

The shopping continued…
We were back on board by 1:00 and went straight to the taco bar. Their offerings are really good! Afterwards, we finally ran into our friends Robert and Jay, who joined the ship in Barcelona. They’ve been traveling the world for the past three months. We made plans to catch up and compare notes.

Tonight, we’ll be back at Makoto Ocean for our third visit — sushi night! 🍣
