Does Seabourn Recognize Princess Loyalty Status?

In addition to this blog, I’m also posting concurrently on a “Semi-Live” blog thread over on Cruise Critic’s (CC) Seabourn Forum for this voyage. This blog is my main focus, but I’ll be periodically checking in and posting on CC as well.

One nice thing about the CC forum is that it allows readers to comment and ask questions. On this blog, that’s only possible by emailing me directly (there’s an email link in my blog profile).

Yesterday, someone on CC asked whether we receive any reciprocal loyalty benefits from Seabourn since we hold the highest loyalty level with Princess. The short answer: no. None of the Carnival Corporation brands—Princess and Seabourn included—share reciprocal loyalty benefits.

That said, I did find something interesting. For our new Seabourn membership number, they used our Princess loyalty number. I spoke with Seabourn’s loyalty department and was told this is a new procedure for them, using loyalty numbers from another Carnival Corp cruise line. I speculated that this might be a step toward reciprocal benefits down the road, but they advised that the reason for the change is currently unknown.

Below are the different loyalty levels on Seabourn and how to earn them.
