A Change in Plans, but More Adventures Ahead

Sometimes, even the best-laid travel plans have to change.

We recently made the difficult decision to cancel our October 20th cruise aboard the Enchanted Princess. An unexpected medical issue made it necessary to put our travel plans on hold, and while we are obviously disappointed to miss this 44-day adventure from Rome to Fort Lauderdale, we know we made the right decision. As much as we love to travel, health has to come first.

This one was particularly disappointing. The Enchanted Princess is our favorite Princess ship, and we had been looking forward to spending 44 days onboard, remaining in the same stateroom for the entire voyage. After so many years and so many wonderful memories with Princess, we were really looking forward to one more extended journey.

But we're not giving up on cruising!

Looking Ahead to Asia

Our next cruise is now scheduled for late January 2027, and we're already looking forward to getting back on the road—or, in this case, the sea!

We'll begin with five days in Singapore, giving us some time to explore this fascinating city before boarding Seabourn Encore for a 40-day voyage through Asia and eventually all around Japan.

This will be our second Seabourn voyage, following our 48-day Sojourn adventure earlier this year. That experience certainly changed the way we look at cruising, and we're excited to see what Encore and this very different itinerary have in store for us.

The itinerary will take us through a fascinating mix of Asian destinations before turning toward Japan, where we'll spend considerable time exploring the country from land and sea.

Having visited a couple of cities in Japan a few years ago, Japan has been high on our travel list, so having the opportunity to experience so many different parts of the country on one extended voyage is especially exciting.

For now, we're concentrating on getting everything back on track and looking forward to the day when we can once again pack our bags and head for the airport.

Our October cruise may have been canceled, but the travel bug certainly hasn't gone anywhere! 😊
