This is the gateway to Pisco. Princess is providing a free shuttle to the fishing village of Paracas, 20 minutes away. From Paracas, you can arrange a trip to Pisco, which is an additional 30 minutes away.
Last year, we hired a driver in Paracas to show us Pisco. You can see details of that visit on my Blog from Cruise Critic, link below.
Since we were here recently, we took the shuttle into Paracas for lunch. The scenery is very interesting! It's sand dunes everywhere, it looks like the Moon. Sorry for the reflection from the bus windows.
Last year, we found out that this area is one of the driest in the world. And when it does "rain" it is no more than a mist.
In town, Debbie did her best trying to buy things for our grand kids.

We returned to the ship around 2:00 and video chatted with our middle daughter and her family, who are currently on the Discovery Princess. They are very excited as they are going to the 360 Dining Experience for their first time tonight.
Tonight we visited with the family of four that we met last month on the Coral Princess. They just returned from the Princess Machu Picchu excursion. They had a fantastic time and were very impressed with the way everything was handled.
After dinner, we went to the Vista Lounge to listen to the Jade Quartet. We danced to a few of their songs. The dance floor was quite busy. After their 9:15 set, we retired to our stateroom.
Tonight, we move the clocks another hour forward. That will put us one hour ahead of EST.
