Wow, were we tired from walking yesterday! We walked close to 10 miles yesterday and walked up/down many steps. Once we returned to the ship, it was shower time and then we streamed Netflix. After a HUGE lunch, neither one of us was hungry for dinner.
This morning, we awoke to the Costa Favolosa pulling into port. Look at those clouds in the background!
By the time we disembarked, a MSC ship had docked behind us. The Costa ship was in front of us. With these 3 ships in the same location, it was a mess exiting the terminal building! Once you walked about 100 yards, the crowds eased up.
We spent a couple of hours walking around the port area. Here are some random photos from our walk: You have to be careful walking around town, I almost fell into a 6 foot hole! Only kidding, but it was weird to see this hazard with no warning of any kind. 🤷♂️ Debbie was able to buy some jewelry and a few gifts at crazy cheap prices. The Havianna flip-flops were about 75% cheaper than at home.
We then took an Uber to Copacabana to have lunch with a Senior Staff Officer that disembarked yesterday. He is staying a few days in Río before returning home.
We took an Uber back to the ship and could not wait to shower, it was so hot and humid today! Luckily, we only had a couple of light rain showers.
