We were picked up today at 12:15 by the Cocoa Beach Express Shuttle, arranged by the hotel — $10 per person. We picked up a few more passengers at two other hotels. There were a total of five ships in port today. We didn’t realize how busy Port Canaveral was for cruising!
We were the first passengers dropped off. We made it through security and the check-in process in just five minutes!
After the check-in desk, there was a very long hallway to board the ship.
Our "accessible" stateroom is very spacious, and the bathroom is nicer than we expected.
The Fiesta Suites have really nice, heavy wood doors and their own private hallway.
While we waited for our luggage, we grabbed tuna sandwiches at the International Café, met the bartenders at Vines (had some cold libations too!), made tonight's dinner reservations in person at Sabatini's, and booked a cabana in the Sanctuary for the entirety of the cruise.
While we were getting ready for our "Happy Hour" at the Vines Wine Bar, we were notified that we are the third most-traveled guests on this voyage. In all of our Princess cruises, we’ve never been in the top three! The top three are given several gifts and special acknowledgment from the Captain. The most-traveled guests are also given suite breakfast in Sabatini's for the duration of the voyage — regardless of their cabin category.
Tonight, we met up with several senior staff officers that we’ve known for years. It was great seeing them again and catching up with them.
