We finally made it to our hotel at 2 a.m.! After a much-needed shower and a very light unpacking, we were lights out at 2:45 a.m.
We set the alarm for 9 a.m. but were awakened by noisy neighbors at 8. Going downstairs for breakfast in a bit. We've booked a 12:15 hotel shuttle to the ship. We are almost there!
By the way, we do not recommend the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach. I think this place was built when John Glenn was flying Mercury missions! Breakfast was chaotic and not that good. The food was very basic, and there were too many hands handling the buffet line—no thank you! There are lots of families staying here.
Ah, we just remembered that it’s Easter week—so, lots of kids out of school. Hopefully, due to the length of our cruise, there won’t be many kids on board.
The view from our room's balcony.
