We Made It Onboard!

We took a shuttle van from the hotel to the cruise terminal, arriving around 11:30 AM. There was quite a traffic jam getting in—we sat in it for about 35 minutes as they were limiting the number of vehicles allowed to drop off passengers.

Once inside the terminal, Security moved along fairly quickly. After that, we waited about 15 minutes at the check-in counters. After checking in they were calling group numbers to board, but thanks to our Loyalty status, we were able to bypass the line and head straight onto the ship!

We dropped off our carry-on bags in our cabins and met up for lunch. The ship is packed—and we’ve already noticed lots of kids onboard! We went ahead and reserved loungers in the Sanctuary for the next two weeks. Since the Sanctuary is adults-only, we’ll split our sea days between relaxing there and spending time with our granddaughter at the main pool. She already has two friends onboard, so she’s sure to be busy having fun!

We also ran into several crew members we know well—it felt like a mini homecoming!

Since this sailing is made up of two back-to-back 7-day voyages, the Most Traveled Guests events will be cocktail parties instead of luncheons. Our invitation for the first week’s party was already waiting for us in the cabin.

Dinner tonight in the Reserve Collection Dining Section was amazing!  Our granddaughter was surprised to see a duck waiting for her.

The extra dish tonight was a Seafood Rissoto, it was delicious!
