We are at sea today, heading toward Santorini, where we’ll arrive tomorrow morning. The skies are clear, making it a perfect day to finally enjoy the Sanctuary Club. After breakfast in the dining room, we made our way there and secured our plush lounges under an umbrella.
I’m going to keep referring to this venue by its proper name — the Sanctuary Club — not by the title used on older Princess ships, The Sanctuary. On this ship, the space truly feels more like a “club,” reminding us of a Las Vegas hotel pool rather than the serene, quiet retreat found on the older ships. We finally found our sweet spot in the Sanctuary Club — all the way forward! From here, we can just barely hear the DJ’s music and enjoy a beautiful view.
We received our invite to the Most Traveled Passengers Cocktail Party today.
Unfortunately, it’s at the same time as our next reservation at Umai Teppanyaki — which we’re definitely keeping! Umai is fully booked for the rest of our voyage, and honestly, it’s a much better choice than the cocktail party.
We also received the notice below yesterday.
It’ll be interesting to see how this impacts us on the two upcoming port days — Santorini and Athens — when we’ll be staying onboard. We’ve visited both many times before and now prefer to enjoy the ship while it’s nice and quiet.
Tonight, we had dinner in the Sanctuary Collection Restaurant. The Halibut was really good! We were not thrilled about activities afterwards, so we retired to our cabin to continue watching the third season of "The Diplomat" on Netflix. It's a great series!
