Last night's dinner at Sabatini's was really great! π The new, reduced menu — now three course choices instead of five — did not disappoint us at all. There was still plenty of food, and we left very satisfied π. For the Princess followers, here’s the new menu:
We had a late arrival this morning into Tenerife at 9 a.m. π During his noon announcement yesterday, the Captain explained that the Port Authority requested a later arrival due to heavy ferry traffic earlier in the morning π’. It looks to be a beautiful day, and with our 6 p.m. departure, we’ll have plenty of time ashore to shop and have lunch. We have visited this city many times and have explored it extensively.
Debbie decided to do a load of laundry this morning π§Ί. Port days are usually quiet in the laundry rooms, and she was right — our nearby laundry room was completely empty! By the way, even with the big increase in Elite guests on this segment, the laundry we’ve sent out has been coming back within 48 hours or less π. Maybe being in a Sanctuary Collection stateroom helps?
We also had a little hiccup this morning — our safe wouldn’t open π. I must have entered the wrong code last night! I called Guest Services, and within five minutes, a supervisor arrived and reset it. Great service once again π.
Side note: Maybe I can get some feedback on my use of emoji's. Too much or do you like them???
The cruise terminal was just over a mile from where we were docked.
For those who didn’t want to walk, the ship offered a $10 per person roundtrip shuttle bus.
We always prefer to walk to town, but I peeked off our balcony to see if there was a line for the shuttle. There must have been at least 250 people in line! πΆ♂️
Honestly, I think you could walk to the terminal faster than you’d make it on that shuttle!
There were two other cruise ships docked alongside us today — a Marella and a Mein Schiff — and across the bay we spotted a P&O ship as well. We knew it would be a madhouse in town… and it was! π³️π️
Debbie made the most of her last shopping day of the trip. After visiting at least eight stores, including the huge Cortes de InglΓ©s shopping center, she somehow managed to find more clothes to buy.π
There will definitely be a major closet purge once we get home!
We ended up walking 7.4 miles today, and boy, are our feet feeling it! π£ Our ship had to be the one farthest from the port!
We made it back to the ship by 1:30 and headed straight to The Grill for veggie burgers — our go-to comfort lunch. π
The view from Deck 18.
The plan for the rest of the day: showers, a little rest, and dinner tonight in the Sanctuary Restaurant, where we’ll also dine tomorrow. Then it’s time to begin our eight-day trek across the Atlantic! π⚓
