Cruise Day #30 - Sea Day, 2 of 8

Last night in the Sanctuary Restaurant, Manager Viktor surprised us with a special salmon entrΓ©e that wasn’t even on the menu — and it was spectacular! 🐟✨

A few days ago, we had mentioned how much we missed the always-available salmon entrΓ©e on the dinner menu. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the dish did not disappoint. Still, we’re pretty disappointed that salmon has been removed from the "Always Available" menu.

We also enjoyed one of our favorite wines with dinner 🍷— too bad it’s not available by the glass!

On another note, the clocks were moved back an hour again last night. We’re now 7 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time, our home time zone. ⏰

It’s funny how we always slip into a routine on consecutive sea days — a bit like Groundhog Day! πŸ˜„ This morning followed the usual pattern: a light breakfast in the restaurant, me heading off to the Fitness Center, and Debbie making her early morning pilgrimage to the Sanctuary Club to secure good lounges for the day.

She was there by 8:30 a.m., and sure enough, half a dozen couples had already “homesteaded” their favorite spots — the same ones they’ve claimed for days now! πŸ–️ Luckily, Debbie managed to snag two decent lounges for us.

It’s much sunnier today with just a slight breeze, and the forecast calls for mid-70s 🌀️. The seas are still rocking a bit, but definitely calmer than the past couple of days — a nice improvement! 🚒

On our previous cruise segment, we posed for photos in front of a green screen holding an “I Love Naples” sign. We were told the background would be something Naples-related.

Well… when the photos finally appeared on the app (thank you, Premier Package, for the unlimited digital photos and three prints per person πŸ“Έ), the backgrounds not only showed Pompei, but also showed most of our previous ports — and there we were, still proudly holding the “I Love Naples” sign in every single one! πŸ˜‚

I couldn’t resist putting my not-so-professional photo editing skills to the test and managed to delete the sign. My arm looks a little awkward now, but hey — not too bad for a rookie editor! πŸ’ͺ✨

Tonight, we are returning to Makato Ocean for our last time. Sorry to see that this amazing two-month journey is coming to an end. πŸ˜”

Note: The date is still one day behind the date onboard. Hopefully, that will be rectified tomorrow when we are on land.  Last night was alm...
