Cruise Day #31 - Sea Day, 3 of 8

Note- If you are having an issue viewing the photos, this app is having issues today. Sorry!

Last night, we moved the clocks back again ⏰— that makes two nights in a row! No surprise, we were both wide awake at 5 a.m. It takes a bit to adjust when you keep gaining an hour each day. But, we’ll take it over going in the opposite direction!  We’re now six hours ahead of PST.

Since I was up so early, I stepped out on our balcony hoping to catch the sunrise. Instead, I was greeted by some fascinating cloud formations — nature showing off a bit before breakfast 🌤️.

It was warm and calm outside, so I’m expecting another beautiful (and probably toasty) day ahead.

Yesterday, we bailed from the Sanctuary Club around 1:30 p.m. after losing our shade — it got way too hot under the direct sun. By then, the place was packed, with only a few open lounges left (all roasting in full sunlight ☀️). To top it off, the music was absolutely blaring! This is a very different atmosphere compared to the peaceful, spa-like vibe of the Sanctuary on the non–Sphere Class ships. Honestly, this is one of the big reasons we’ve decided the Sphere Class just isn’t for us.

After breakfast this morning, we wandered back to the Sanctuary Club, and lo and behold — every premium lounge around the pool was already claimed! It was only 8:15! 😳 These folks must be setting alarms for zero-dark-thirty. Even more frustrating, several lounges had “reserved” bags on them, but no people until well after 9:30. I mentioned it to the Manager, who just shrugged. Tomorrow, I’m setting my alarm for 6 a.m. sharp — time to stake my turf like a pro! 🏃‍♂️🪣

Yesterday, the Sanctuary Club buffet actually had a nice selection for us non-meat eaters — cheese empanadas, mini salmon quiches, couscous, and chips with guacamole and salsa. 🧀🐟 Today, however, it’s back to mostly meat-eater options, with only a couple of snack items for us.

So, Debbie made a trip to the Salad Bar on Deck 17 and brought her haul back to our lounges. 🥗 Once she returned, I made my own pilgrimage to the Taco Bar next door for a couple of their tiny but flavorful seafood tacos and a veggie burrito. 🌮🌯  By the way, by 1 pm the temperature was hovering in the high 70's and seas were calm.

Tonight, we’ll be dining in the Sanctuary Restaurant — can’t wait to see what surprises they have in store for us! 🍷✨
