Cruise Day #32 - Sea Day, 4 of 8

Last night’s dinner in the Sanctuary Restaurant was superb! The Oven-Baked Salmon Coulibiac—a Russian savory pie made by wrapping layers of salmon, rice, hard-boiled eggs, and mushrooms in puff pastry—made another grand appearance on the menu. 

This elegant and festive dish, similar to Beef Wellington, has become a favorite of ours. 

It was our third time enjoying it this voyage, and it did not disappoint! Viktor sliced it tableside with plenty of flair.

This morning, we decided to skip breakfast in the restaurant. I made my way up to the Sanctuary Club at 7:15 to secure our lounges for the day—six couples had already claimed theirs! Luckily, we still snagged two good poolside spots under a pair of umbrellas. 

The weather is a bit breezy today, with some dark clouds passing by. A little light rain might be in the forecast? 🌦️

After Debbie got herself together, she went down to the International Café on Deck 9 and brought back two black coffees and two delicious almond croissants to-go. One of the croissants was for me (the two coffees for her), and wow—those croissants are dangerously good! 🥐

Fueled by the pastry, I made my way to the Fitness Center. Unfortunately, all the elliptical machines were occupied. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to finish, I finally gave up and retreated to the Sanctuary Club. Maybe I’ll try again after lunch… emphasis on maybe. 😄

Shortly after I returned, it started sprinkling — and before long, it turned into a steady light rain. Looking ahead, all we could see were dark, brooding clouds stretching as far as the eye could see! ⛅ The staff quickly began removing pads, towels, and covering the equipment. They mentioned that heavier rain was on the way — our cue to pack it up!

We headed back to our stateroom to regroup. Debbie immediately began organizing her many purchases in preparation for the upcoming packing process. That should be fun to watch! 😄

We ended up having lunch at the Sanctuary Restaurant, where we both went for the Salmon Poké Bowl — fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! 😋 

We spent the afternoon watching "Starting 5" an NBA series on Netflix. A quiet, relaxing day!  Tonight, we’ll be heading back to The Catch for dinner. 🐟✨  And, it did end up clearing up this afternoon.
