Cruise Day #36 - Sea Day, 8 of 8

Last night we met up with our friends, Robert and Jaewoo, from San Diego. We’ve known each other for quite some time now and have shared more than a few cruises together. We also stay in touch regularly, so catching up always feels easy.

Most of our conversation focused on two things. The big one: our upcoming inaugural Seabourn voyages. We’ll be sailing first, so they’ll be eagerly awaiting our feedback once we’re back—no pressure, right? 😄

The second topic was mobile cellular plans. We’ve been Verizon customers for as long as we can remember, but we’re definitely not thrilled with the cost of their international coverage. Robert and Jaewoo felt the same way… until they switched to T-Mobile this past year because of the no-extra-cost international plan—and they absolutely love it. This now makes the fourth set of friends (all people whose opinions we genuinely trust) who’ve told us the same thing. So, once we’re home, a visit to a T-Mobile store is officially on our to-do list. A switch may be imminent!

Before heading to our Sabatini's reservation (they were off to Love by Britto for dinner), we exchanged our sad goodbyes and promised to reconnect again soon.

Dinner at Sabatini's was, once again, really really good! The change from six courses to three (I posted the new menu on the blog about a week ago) didn’t hamper us one bit. We were more than satisfied—any more food and they might’ve needed to roll me out of there! 😅

After a very light breakfast (just toast for me 🍞, cornflakes for Debbie 🥣) in the dining room, Debbie dashed up to the Sanctuary Club to squeeze in a couple of hours of last-minute rays. I’m not entirely sure how successful she’ll be — the clouds are giving off serious “it might rain any minute” vibes ☁️🌦️.

I headed back to our stateroom and started organizing my “stuff” in preparation for packing and got in some quiet reading time.  Debbie is the true packer in our household; I simply lay things out and she turns the chaos into perfectly zipped suitcases 🎒. When it comes to planning, booking, and organizing our trips, that’s my department. It’s a system that keeps us both stress-free!

A couple of hours later, Debbie returned (no rain) and officially kicked off the packing operation. While she worked her magic, we reminisced about the past two months — the incredible sights, the new friendships made, and the old ones strengthened 🌍✨.

This is definitely a trip we’ll remember forever!

It took a couple of hours—stopping only for a quick lunch break in the restaurant—but Debbie managed to work her packing magic and get everything into our bags. We’re about 95% packed now. We’ll finish up after dinner and then put our bags out in the hallway to be collected. We’ll be checking five bags at the airport (yes… five 😅 including the new one we picked up in Naples). Fortunately, we’re flying First Class, so no extra fees. We are checked-in to our 1:45 pm non-stop flight from Miami International and it is still showing on-time. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Tonight, we’ll be dining in the Sanctuary Restaurant, and tomorrow morning we plan to grab a decent breakfast there before disembarking.

Tomorrow, I’ll post our final thoughts on our 36 days onboard the ship. Stay tuned! 🚢✨

Cruise Day #25 - Sea Day 5 of 5

Note: The date is still one day behind the date onboard. Hopefully, that will be rectified tomorrow when we are on land.  Last night was alm...
