We started our evening last night in the Observation Bar, catching up with some of our new friends. We lingered there until it was time for our 7:30 Solis reservation.
Solis, during the day, a very elegant venue!
Dinner was impressive, as was the service. We both began with the warm Portuguese octopus, a truly excellent dish. Debbie followed with the lobster-stuffed Paccheri pasta, which was literally packed with huge chunks of perfectly cooked lobster. I, once again, opted for the tableside-prepared Panzanella salad. Absolute perfection. For our main course, we both chose the Swordfish à la Plancha and all I can say is WOW.After dinner, we retreated to our stateroom for more Australian Open viewing. The magician show didn’t really appeal to us. We’ve officially had our lifetime quota of magic tricks. 🎩✨
This morning was a light breakfast in the Colonnade. The Restaurant was closed for breakfast as they were prepping for the Galley Lunch extravaganza. We were told the galley opens up and you walk through multiple ethnic food stations, buffet-style. It sounds fantastic, but after my visit to the Fitness Center, we opted for pool time instead. It’s absolutely beautiful out, and I’m sure there will be another Galley Lunch later in the voyage.
Tonight, we’ll be back at The Restaurant for dinner. I’m already dreaming about the soft-shell crabs. 🦀😋
Another Seabourn tidbit: Debbie loves that they replenish the bathroom cotton rounds and Q-tips as needed. It’s the little things, and this is definitely a very nice touch! 😊
